White Jeans

These boys made me forget how much I usually dislike seeing boys in white pants. I love everything about the guy on the right, he wears the ankle length pant very well.

You can view the entire album here.

Coachella vs. Singfest - Shoes

So while Shing has kindly blogged on a fairly regular basis, I have been eaten up by the terrors of work. But I have, of course, been diligently stalking fashion blogs, style.com and every other worthy fashion site for your benefit. And I know a couple of posts ago S did an update of the music festivals that have happened/are happening, so let's discuss the item that can make or break your outfit: shoes.

Now, I know Singfest is nowhere near as famous as Coachella (California's biggest annual outdoor music festival for the uninitiated) but that doesn't mean that the fashion can't be as awesome. Although we're in no desert, the weather can get pretty disastrous as we all know; so remember your sunblock and covered shoes - you don't want overexcited groupies trampling on your favourite pair of heels/slippers and ruining your feet in the process. Personally I'd go for a pair of Keds or Chucks since they're reasonably priced and are always classic.

Of course if you still want to wear your favourite pair of Havianas or those awesome Marc Jacobs leather flats, go ahead. Just don't say we didn't warn you.

P.S A selection of Keds can be found at Pedder Red and a couple of Royal Sporting House outlets.

And of course, one of the best things about going for a music festival of this sort... the outfits! Style.com has a few photo albums dedicated just for events like these, here are some looks i like.

As a parting note, here's my advice: there are two things you should remember when dressing for music festivals
1. Comfort Is Key.
2. You can get away with wearing things you can't on any other regular day

So what that really means is... Go wild! But remember to wear comfortable (and mud proof) shoes, experiment with colours and prints, accessorize, and do not forget sunblock and your sunnies! Until we meet again, Lipsticked might be meeting some of you at these events really soon!
